CASTELDELFINO – COLLETTO DELLA BATTAGLIOLA

Start out from Casteldelfino taking directio from Pontechianale, immediately on the left, the ascent of asphalt leading to the villages of the Valley of Bellino, continue to climb up to township Chiesa (1.480 m) and after the village for about 1.5 km, after 2 bends the system of signs in wood indicates the way on the right towards the Colle della Battagliola.

The dirt road goes flowing with some hard stretch, you ignore the detour for Borgata Balz and continue left until Grange Verné (1.715 m) where the road becomes bumpy and disconnected and you reach to the Colle (2.401 m) in the wide area of the Alevè forest.
Follow the red and white signs of the GTA, which descend the opposite mountain-side and leading to Pontechianale with a technical and challenging single-track, once you get the camping upstream of the lake you skirt the reservoir on the right side and always following the white-red marks of the GTA between up and down you reach Castello (1.603 m), you pass the barrier of the dam and go down towards the valley for a short stretch of carriage road until you reach the large parking area for shelters Vallanta and Bagnur.

In front of the entrance of the path turn right, down to the bed of the stream Varaita up to Casteldelfino.
