Starting from the parish church of San Giacomo continuing for about 50 meters upstream until you cross via Manere, take this road downhill to a junction with a dirt road on the left and follow it, this path develops cutting the northern slopes of Mount Alpet and with a regular slope and you get to the Refuge to Vernagli La Maddalena.
Continue toward south on the dirt road and after you get some old buildings at the junction for Case Barberis, continue until you cross the asphalt road that leads from the Pra di Roburent.

Holding the highest ridge the downhill follows a path that passes under the cables of a ski lift and comes with a collar, not considering the deviations to the right and left continue on the ridge, it flanks to the left a beech forest, you arrive at the pillar of San Bernardo and from here to go down near the Maddalena refuge and then back to San Giacomo to the same road of the going to.
